In between bites of breakfast this past Sunday my four-and-a-half year old son Scott asked my wife and I, "do you know what an ask acks is?"
Clearly HE had an answer ready to unveil and was testing the waters to see if we just might be on the same page with him. If we WERE on that page and could answer correctly he'd have the opportunity to proudly say "right" and feel a sense of educational accomplishment that somewhat resembles his small victories in Pre-K.
"No buddy," I responded. "What's an ask acks?"
